The Art of Childhood

The Art of Childhood covers children's art from fairies to animals, including pixies, elves and goblins, woodland scenes and games, anthropomorphic animals (animals in human situations), nursery rhymes and fairy tales, and illustrations of children at play. Many of the pictures are by well known artists such as Millicent Sowerby, Susan Beatrice Pearce, Lilian Govey, Chloe Preston, Louis Wain and G.E. Studdy but there is also some delightful art by less well known or anonymous names.
