The Wye Valley

Historic images of the Wye Valley between Ross on Wye and Chepstow. This is listed as a separate area, partly because it falls into three counties – Gloucestershire, Herefordshire and Monmouthshire, and partly because we have such a large collection of pictures of it to load. Places include all three main towns, Ross-on-Wye, Monmouth and Chepstow, along with the many villages and hamlets which lie alonside the river between these places. Many of these places will eventually have enough images to merit their own folders. Featuring street scenes, post offices, road transport, shops, pubs and hotels, events and social history views, railways and industry.
